Welcome to the Multiscale Computational Plasma Lab
Research in the Multiscale Computational Plasma Lab at UCLA focuses on electric propulsion, semiconductor fabrication such as etching and deposition, fundamentals of plasma-material interactions, and low-temperature plasma physics. We develop physics-based and data-driven models to describe the complex interplay between plasma chemistry, rarefied gasdynamics, electromagnetic fields, and material responses. We welcome students from all backgrounds with an interest in combining engineering and physics to explore fundamental questions in science while building the computational tools of tomorrow.
